Equality and Diversity

 

Equality and diversity in Irish workplaces are governed by the Equality Acts 1998-2004, and the Equal Status Act 2000. These Acts offer protection to employees against discrimination in 9 specific areas and govern how employers should manage people at work from recruitment through to retirement and everything in between. The legislation is designed to ensure that workplaces are free from discrimination thus harnessing the richness and diversity of experience and qualifications that a truly diverse workplace can bring.
