Bullying and Harassment
Despite the best efforts of employers, bullying or harassment does occur within the workplace with consequences not only for those directly involved, but also for their colleagues. This results in lower productivity, increased illness absence, higher staff turnover and potentially a civil claim for work related stress.
As an employer, you have a responsibility to ensure that bullying or harassment does not take place in your workplace(s). Furthermore, in the unfortunate event of bullying or harassment occurring, it is essential that employers have a clear, fair and accessible policy for processing allegations of bullying or harassment.
