Theresa Connolly, MA, Chartered FCIPD; Partner and Senior HR Consultant
Theresa is based in Cork and has over 30 years industry HR experience at a senior level in both private and public sector companies. She has worked with companies in transport, logistics, retail, health, manufacturing, trading, property and hospitality among others. She has significant experience in unionised environments as well as non-union environments. Theresa’s experience covers all aspects of the employment relationship including, but not limited to, recruitment, mediation, mentoring, industrial relations, training and development, documentation, equality and diversity, bullying and harassment, employee communication, discipline and large scale redundancies. Throughout her career, she has been an active member of a variety of working parties with both a commercial and a people management focus.
Theresa holds a first class honours degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the National College of Industrial Relations (now NCI) and a first class MA from University College Cork. She also holds a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Notre Dame Law School in conjunction with the Stitt Felt Handy Group, a certificate in Facilitation skills from Management Center Europe and a certificate in Human Resources Strategy from Cranfield University. Theresa is currently working towards a PhD at University College Cork and is researching Irish workplaces and the conditions that enable optimum performance.
Barry Hill, Dip ChemTech, Chartered FCIPD; Partner and Senior HR Consultant
Barry has a wealth of experience having worked for over 30 years at a senior level in both Human Resources and Sales, as well as HR consultancy throughout the last decade. Barry has worked with a number of large organisations including CMP Dairy, Dairygold and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He is an IBEC representative and a Board member of the Cork City Partnership. Barry's strengths are in the area of industrial relations, discipline, grievance and terminations.
Anne Dowling, CMIOSH; Associate
Occupational Health and Medical Emergency Planning Services – AMA Healthcare Services and Trinity Group
Director of Occupational Health Services: Anne Dowling has over 28 years experience in Healthcare. Within the past decade she has provided direction and expertise to a broad client base in the industrial sectors. These include, food handling, retail, pharmaceutical, construction, heavy steel, transport, health professionals, animal handling personnel, airport fire and police, finance, and education.
Anne’s baseline qualification is that of a General, Paediatric and Psychiatric Nurse, and is affiliated to the National Nursing Body. She holds a Diploma in Counselling Skills and a Higher Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work from University College Cork. She is a certified First Medical Responder and holds proficiencies in the aspects required to provide support medically to both private and public sectors in industry.
Anne is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. She is currently undertaking a Batchelor of Civil Law. She is also a part time lecturer in medical emergency planning on the Safety Health and Welfare at Work programmes, University College Cork.
